Description: Florida’s Forgotten Coast plays host to an abundance and variety of visitors, including adult and juvenile sea turtles. To celebrate these remarkable creatures and raise awareness of their importance, the Florida Coastal Conservancy and Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center invite you to join us for the 2nd Annual Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Festival on Sunday, July 2nd from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET at Village Drive and George Core Park, Port St. Joe, FL. The Festival will include live music by Cypress Trio (11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET) and K.T. Up Close & In Person (1 p.m. – 4 p.m. ET), hot dogs and ice cream, marine life touch tanks, a sidewalk chalk art contest for all ages, educational displays, local art vendors, activities for kids, and sea turtle giveaways. The Festival is free to attendees and will take place rain or shine. Come join the fun and learn about our amazing sea turtles!
3. Apalachicola Fireworks
When: 5-10 PM July 3rd
Where: Apalachicola River
Description: July 3, 2017 will mark our sixth annual celebration of an event that has grown and gotten better year after year. The community will come together for a fantastic event that culminates in a stunning fireworks display over the Apalachicola River. Enjoy great food, beverages, a parade, free ice cream, veteran’s tribute, and more. This event is the winner of the 2015 Florida Main Street Honor Award for Outstanding Special Event.

Handmade arts, crafts, jewelry, pottery and gifts highlight the market’s offerings with live music and fresh air.

6. 4th of July Fireworks
When: 10:00 PM - 10:30 PM July 4th
Where: Port Saint Joe
Description: Enjoy a great fireworks spectacular over the St. Joseph Bay! Once Port St. Joe has concluded their fireworks, you can drive over to Mexico Beach and watch their display over the Gulf of Mexico! Don't forget: Port St. Joe is on eastern time where Mexico Beach is on central time. 2 for 1 special!!
